Pools and Public Bathing Areas
Our staff of Registered Sanitarians permit and inspect public swimming pools that are located in Cheshire, Wolcott and Prospect. We collect water samples from Public Bathing Areas weekly during the summer months. The inspections and sampling ensure that our residents are enjoying the safe and healthy environment that public pools and bathing areas provide. Swimming is an excellent activity to get the physical activity and health benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
Examples of public pools located in our district include town recreation facilities, camp sites, and condominiums complexes.
Public Bathing Areas include designated swimming areas of local ponds and lakes.
